Role Overview:
The Assistant Principal - ES School Operations Officer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our educational institution. Reporting directly to the Principal, and working with the President, the Assistant Principal will be responsible for overseeing various operational aspects of the school, including but not limited to administrative management, facility maintenance, safety and security protocols, and student support.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Administrative Leadership:
- Work closely with the Principal to plan, develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with the school's mission and vision;

2. Staff Management and Development:
- Provide leadership and support to teachers, staff, and support personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement;
- Participate in the Principal's meetings. Assist in training ES faculty and staff in school processes;
- Assist in Princiapl's meetings with parents and share relevant information as needed;
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of qualified faculty and staff;
- Conduct classroom observations when directed by the Principal.
3. Student Support and Discipline:
- Implement and enforce school policies and procedures related to student behavior and discipline. Use ACS Athens Conscious Citizenship model;
- Work with teachers, counselors, and parents to address the academic, social, and emotional needs of students;
- Promote a positive and inclusive school climate that celebrates diversity and encourages respect and empathy among students and staff;
- Understand the Positive Discipline and Growth Mindset models.
4. Parent and Community Engagement:
- Foster strong partnerships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders to support student success and school initiatives;
- Communicate regularly with families through newsletters, meetings, and other channels to keep them informed about school activities and initiatives;
- Organize and participate in community events, outreach programs, and partnerships that enhance the school's reputation and impact.
5. Facility Management:
- Work with maintenance supervisor to ensure cleaning staff maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality of school facilities and grounds;
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgrades as necessary, prioritizing the well-being and comfort of students and staff;
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the use of facilities for both academic and extracurricular activities.
6. Safety and Security:
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the well-being of students, staff, and visitors;
- Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to identify potential hazards and address security concerns;
- Collaborate with local authorities and stakeholders to enhance campus security measures.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field or in process of such a degree;
- Certification in educational leadership or school administration;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational administration or a leadership role within an elementary school setting;
- Demonstrated experience in managing school operations, including administrative tasks, facility management, and staff supervision.

Basic Function and Scope:

The Elementary Math Studio Coordinator Grades 1-5 is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program based on best practices in mathematics in an environment that guides and encourages elementary students from first through fifth grade to develop and achieve a conceptual understanding of mathematics. The Math Coordinator will also collaborate with the Mathematics Division Chair to build resources and various enrichment opportunities for students to participate in.
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum: In collaboration with the Math Division Chair, ensures that curricular progressions are updated and aligned (1-5);
- Instruction: Supports student learning as needed in all grade levels and various modes (one-on-one meetings with students, small group instruction, either face-to-face or virtually);
- Optimal Learning Program: Collaborates with faculty and OLP Specialists to ensure child services are adequately resourced and implemented to support student learning;
- Instructional Resources: Support students to think creatively and build comfort around solving real-world problems by creating unique school-wide projects or competitions that promote real-world thinking and applications.
Duties:
- Works with a small group or individual students to enrich conceptual understanding of numeracy skills and mathematical literacy;

The ACS Athens Tennis Academy is seeking a professional tennis coach for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025, with the possibility of immediate hire. Conduct Tennis Lessons:

Job description:
- Performs a variety of daily tasks as assigned by the Supervisor, and according to the Employer's instructions and plan.
- Daily tasks include but are not limited to specialized building maintenance works and/or general manual labor (such as the moving of various items).
Indicatively:
- Specialized building maintenance works may include: minor and medium-scale building repairs (plastering, painting, minor wall repairs, and patchwork), minor carpentry work, door and knob repairs, installation of bulletin boards, assistance with plumbing work, cleaning of storm water drains, etc.
- General manual labor may include: cleaning of campus areas, emptying of trash cans, collection and transport of construction debris and demolished materials, moving of various items (e.g. furniture, boxes of books, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- Familiarity and ability to use power tools.
- Full compliance with Safety Rules and Regulations.
- Full compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- A spirit of cooperation is essential.
- Physical condition that does not prevent the performance of the general duties mentioned above.
