Course description

The Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) – Modern Technology Topics course is an interdisciplinary project-based, design-centered course for 9th and 10th grade students. It fosters problem-solving, data literacy, computational thinking, design thinking, computer-aided design skills, global citizenship, and 21st century skills. Course topics include the characteristics and impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, Sensors and Actuators, The Internet of Things, Introduction to Electrical Engineering, and Introduction to Aerospace Engineering.

  • Fall 2024 Session: October 14, 2024 - December 20, 2024 

  • Winter 2025 Session: February 3, 2025 - April 11, 2025

  • Summer 2025 Session: June 23 - July 11

Course Duration: 10 weeks
