Course description

This course focuses on developing language skills for students approaching a higher level of intermediate English proficiency. They learn to express themselves confidently. They are exposed to the English language and use it efficiently, effectively, and purposefully for social and academic purposes. Students learn to apply advanced grammar mechanics and skills. Academic vocabulary is progressively demanding in reading, writing, listening, and speaking activities. Emphasis is placed on all four domains: speaking, listening, reading and writing while students are exposed to the writing process and essay writing.  Additionally, students further develop skills in research and plot analysis. Oral skills are developed through presentations and group discussions. The course prepares students with skills corresponding to B2 level of CEFR.

  • Winter 2025 Session: February 3, 2025 - April 11, 2025

  • Summer 2025 Session: June 23 - July 11

If enrollment in a course fails to reach the minimum number of participants required for the class to run, the class will be cancelled and tuition will be reimbursed.
