Please join us in this year’s Personal and Math Project Exhibition that will take place on Friday, May 3rd at the ACS Theater Lobby, Atrium, and Gym. Doors open at 9.00 am.

Project-based learning is a dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world problems with the goals to challenge and acquire a deeper knowledge and understanding. The 10th Grade Personal Project is coordinated by Ms. Panteli and has an important effect when it comes to both academic and personal growth because it covers two criteria:

  • First, students must perceive the work as personally meaningful, as a task that matters and that they want to do well.
  • Second, a meaningful project fulfills an educational purpose, to develop the students’ research and writing skills, as well as critical thinking and presentation skills.
Through the 10th Grade Personal Project Students:
  • develop personal and social responsibility
  • improve their planning, critical thinking, research skills, reasoning, and creativity
  • build strong communication skills, both for interpersonal and presentation needs
  • adapt a cross-cultural understanding
  • understand the importance of visualizing, decision making and leadership
  • are enabled to identify how and when to use technology and choosing the most appropriate tool for each of the tasks that is given to them
  • become engaged builders of a new knowledge base and become active, lifelong learners.
