The ACS Athens swim team made waves this past weekend, February 21-22, delivering an incredible performance against seven competing schools in an action-packed two-day meet of the ACS Athens International Swimming Cup. Guest schools included local rival schools Platon and Avgouleas-Linardatou, as well as international competition from Cairo American College, the Anglo-American School of Sofia, the American International School in Riyadh, the American Cooperative School of Tunis and the American School of Warsaw. With over 13 events spanning both Middle School and High School categories, our athletes shattered personal records, forged new friendships, and racked up an impressive haul of medals!

The competition was fierce, but ACS Athens proved unstoppable, clinching 18 gold medals, 8 silver, and 12 bronze across the events. Our swimmers dominated during all relays, helping both Middle School and High School secure 1st place in each of their respective age categories.

But the victories didn’t stop there! Not only did our swimmers bring home a stack of medals, but they also captured the coveted overall 1st place trophy, solidifying ACS Athens as the team to beat!

Beyond the podium, the swim meet was a celebration of sportsmanship and camaraderie. New bonds were formed, mutual respect was shared, swimming caps were swapped and their passion for the sport grew stronger.

Congratulations to all our swimmers, coaches, and supporters for an unforgettable weekend! With this level of passion and commitment, there’s no telling what our team will achieve at the ISAA on March 7th and 8th hosted by ACS Athens!
