Dr. Filis is an Associate Professor at the American College of Greece and Director of the ACG Institute of Global Affairs. He has held key roles at Panteion University’s Institute of International Relations and served as a research fellow at Oxford University. Dr. Antonios Karampelas holds a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Athens and has extensive research and teaching experience in astrophysics and education. He significantly contributed to ESA's Gaia mission and currently teaches IB Physics, AI, and STEAM at ACS Athens. An accomplished researcher with over 80 publications and 17,000 citations, he actively promotes AI integration in education, coordinates various academic programs, and led student projects including space experiments aboard Blue Origin's flights. He serves as a Fellow at ACS Athens and co-coordinates the STEM and AI Working Group for the Hellenic Educational Society of STEM. Dr. Karampelas is a strong proponent of the inclusion of Generative AI and Learning Analytics in Education, and the development of AI curricula.
