Settas, Sotiris, Elementary School Permanent Substitute Teacher

Mr. Sotiris Settas was born and raised in Piraeus, Greece, and holds a degree in History and Archaeology from the University of Crete. Alongside his academic studies, he also completed his teaching certification, qualifying him to teach a wide range of subjects in the Greek language and humanities. For the past eight years, Mr. Sotiris provided personalized tutoring to students of all grade levels, in subjects such as literature, essay writing, ancient Greek, history, and Latin.

His deep passion for history has led him to pursue a Master's degree in Modern and Contemporary Greek History at the Hellenic Open University, further advancing his expertise in the field. Mr. Sotiris' teaching experience includes valuable time at the 9th General High School of Piraeus, where he honed his ability to engage students and cultivate a meaningful learning experience. In addition, he has been actively involved in an archaeological excavation at the ancient site of Eleutherna, in the Rethymno region, deepening his connection to Greece’s rich historical heritage.

As he transitions into his role as a permanent substitute teacher in an Elementary School, Mr. Sotiris looks forward to making a meaningful impact on both his students and the wider school community, helping to create a dynamic and enriching learning environment for all.
