Argyraki, Penny, Faculty, 4th grade

Penny Argyraki received her B.A. degree in ‘Elementary Education’, Grades 1-6, from the University of Patras, Greece. She continued her studies in the UK, where she graduated with a Masters of Science in ‘Education, Technology & Society’ from the University of Bristol.

Following her studies, Ms. Argyraki spent three more years in the UK working in an elementary school setting in different roles: as a learning support assistant, English as an additional language teacher and a homeroom teacher. Subsequently, she moved to France where she worked for seven years in different international schools as a homeroom teacher in Grades 4 and 5.

As an educator, the core of her philosophy is to promote learning as a life-long concept. She is interested in making learning interdisciplinary, providing students with opportunities to work collaboratively, solve real-life problems, think critically and inquire about the world around them.

Ms. Argyraki moved back to her native country last year and is excited to begin her second year at ACS Athens as a 4th Grade homeroom teacher.
