Alexopoulos, Alexia, Kindergarten

Ms. Alexopoulos is a Greek-American alumna of ACS Athens who pursued her academic journey in the United States, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. During her undergraduate studies, she discovered her passion for teaching while working in a school setting. She then relocated to Houston, Texas, where she obtained a Master's degree in Special Education from the University of Houston. She is now certified to teach General Education from Early Childhood through 6th Grade and Special Education from Early Childhood through 12th Grade.

In Texas, Ms. Alexopoulos gained valuable experience as both a General Education and Special Education teacher in the public school system, focusing primarily on students on the Autism Spectrum and those with developmental disabilities. Additionally, she worked in a kindergarten classroom, where she honed her skills in teaching a broad range of subjects in a general education environment.

After several years of living and working in the United States, Ms. Alexopoulos decided to return to Greece, where she took on the role of a Kindergarten teacher at a bilingual kindergarten.

Recognizing ACS Athens as her home, she returned in 2023 as a permanent substitute for the Elementary School and now serves as a Kindergarten Teacher.
