Koliza, Adamantia, Faculty, Social Studies
Adamantia Koliza was born and raised in Athens, Greece. She completed her undergraduate studies in Business Administration at the University of Piraeus. Following her passion for finance, she earned a Master's degree in Mathematical Finance and Risk Analysis at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Currently, she is pursuing a second Master's degree in Mathematics Education and Methodology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
For the past five years, Ms. Koliza has worked in the private sector as a consultant and risk analyst, gaining experience in business information sector, corporate evaluation, and risk analysis. Through this work, she has gained experience in various projects, particularly in the banking sector and has deepened her understanding of financial risk management.
In addition to her corporate work, Ms. Koliza has been a private tutor for the past eight years, teaching Mathematics, Physics, and Economics. Her career experience in education and business has given her a unique perspective, allowing her to bridge the gap between theoretical business concepts and real-world application.
This year, she will join the teaching staff of the Academy, where she will teach Business Management in the IB program. Alongside her teaching responsibilities, Adamantia plans to conduct research on Critical Mathematics and its role in multicultural school environments. She has also completed seminars in special education and Braille writing.
Adamantia is excited to embark on this new journey and looks forward to a productive and creative year, collaborating with colleagues and contributing to the academic growth of her students.
