Klimou, Vicki, JV Girls Soccer

Ms. Vicki Klimou is Greek-Canadian who was born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Canada. There, she completed her BA from Simon Fraser University with a concentration in both Psychology and French Literature and Linguistics. She is also a certified ESL teacher and is in the process of obtaining her US teaching license. Furthermore, Ms. Klimou is a Certified Positive Discipline Classroom Educator, a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and, most recently, she was accepted as a Positive Discipline Trainer Candidate. She has been an educator at ACS Athens since 2008. An extensive and varied teaching experience, she has taught French in the Middle School, Junior Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade. She is currently teaching 1st Grade.

Ms. Klimou is very active in all areas of ACS, she has worked for the ACS Summer Youth Camp for numerous years, more recently, teaching “Grow Up with Sports” to 3-5 year olds. Ms. Klimou brings a wealth of experience and passion to the JV Girls Soccer team, having grown up playing soccer for 15 years and beginning her career as an official soccer referee. With a background that includes assisting with the Varsity Girls Soccer Team and coaching in the Elementary after-school program, she has always been committed to nurturing young athletes. Ms. Klimou initially coached the JV Girls Soccer Team from 2010-2013 and, after a break, has now returned for her second year back at the helm. She is also an emergency responder (CPR/First Aid for adult/child/infant. She is dedicated to creating an environment where every player feels happy, safe, loved, and accepted, using her love for teaching and coaching to inspire her team both on and off the field.
