FAQ for New Admitted Middle School and Academy students
In this FAQ for new admitted Middle School and Academy students, we provide answers to questions regarding the first days of school and what new students and their families will need. We also provide you with answers regarding the school's procedures and information for a seamless transition.
First day of school
On the first day of school we have a special bell schedule in order for students to meet with all of their teachers. Teachers will inform students what supplies they will need to obtain for their course. For this reason, a notebook and a pen/pencil plus a snack is all that students need for the first day of school.
All students receive their schedules on the first day of school by lining up by grade level outside of the Middle School and Academy building.
All students are assigned a locker, lock and its combination on the first day of school. This information will be printed on the student's schedule. Parents are required to submit a payment of Euro 20,00 to the school as a deposit and guarantee that the locker and lock will be returned to school in good condition upon the student's withdrawal.
Books & PE Uniforms
We put together a special schedule so that students can pick up their books from the bookstore during the school day. Teachers escort students to the bookstore and books are distributed by grade level a few days after school begins.
All students are informed by their PE teachers during the first days of school of the available sizes for their PE uniforms. After going on the website and deciding on the PE uniform, parents pay online. Following payment, the cashier informs the PE teachers that the uniform has been paid for and PE teachers give the uniform to the student.
School ID
We put together a special schedule so that students can be issued an ID. 7th and 8th grade returning students keep their ID from the previous year(s). However, all 6th-grade and 9th-grade new students are issued a new ID.

Technology at ACS Athens
Skyward is a web-based application that both students and parents can log on to (each with their own credentials). By logging on to Skyward both students and parents receive information regarding absences, tardies, missing assignments, grades, etc. New students and parents receive their Skyward credentials upon registration. We strongly encourage both students and parents to log on to Skyward and remain updated regarding academic progress and attendance.
Moodle is a Learning platform that both students and parents can log on, to view details regarding classes that students are enrolled in (i.e. homework assignments and classroom notes).
Student academic records
The registrar's office, located on the ground floor of the Academy building, handles such requests. This office also houses all student records, teacher recommendations, DHL services, and more.
Student health-related questions

The health form that all Middle School and Academy parents need to submit is the Student Health Examination Form. This form is completed by all parents (new and returning) as part of the registration process every year. The Student Health Examination Form which can also be found on Skward is also used for after-school sports activities and/or swimming. All health-related issues are addressed to our school nurses at the Health office. You may contact them at 210 6070 217 or 260.
