ACS Athens offers a competitive salary package that reflects the years of experience and the academic credentials a faculty member has accrued. The salary package is based on the Union's salary scales.

BA/BS: 25.000 - 28.000 euros, MA/MS: 27.000 - 30.000 euros, PhD: 30.000 - 33.000 euros

U.S.-hired Teachers may be exempted from paying Greek & US income taxes for the first three (3) years of employment according to current bi-lateral agreement between the USA and Greece.

Group health insurance plan is provided with 100% of the premiums paid by the school.

Pre-existing conditions and mental health conditions are not covered.

Retirement

U.S.-hired teachers are eligible for membership in a 401(k) US retirement program and the School will contribute the equivalent of 5% of staff member's gross annual salary into the program. Contributions will be converted from Euro to dollars at the prevailing rate. The Teacher may elect to contribute up to an additional 11.25 % of their gross annual salary.

Faculty is eligible to a museum pass which provides free access to all museums and archeological sites in the country.

The School will provide U.S. Social Security benefits to U.S. citizen employees according to the regulations of the U.S. Government and bilateral agreements with the Greek Government.

Faculty is eligible for annual time-off according to Greek law regulations (Personal Leave, Sick Leave, Professional Development Leave, etc). The working days per academic year are 185.

Tuition and registration fees for K1-12 faculty children may be waived or discounted as per the current Collective Labor Agreement. For U.S.-hired teachers, fees are waived unless covered by a third party (e.g., government or business). Waivers exclude additional charges like capital, transportation, daycare, or endowment fees.

Upon reporting for duty, the Employee receive a one-off lump sum Arrival Relocation Allowance (2.641,23 Euro).
